Your Appointment.

To get an appointment at our Orthopaedic specialist clinic, please ask your primary healthcare provider (General Practitioner, physiotherapist or other doctor) to refer you specifically to Dr Charlotte Allen.  This is to ensure ACC or your private insurance will fund your clinic visit, any investigation and subsequent surgery if required.

Please call our office on (09) 390 1514, Monday to Friday between 9am to 4pm for an appointment.

What to bring to your first clinic appointment.

Please bring the following with you to your clinic appointment:

  • Any letters or reports from your healthcare provider, including progress reports from your physiotherapist.

  • Any X-rays/other imaging/investigations you have had or the location you have had them as these are often available online if completed within Auckland.

  • A list of your medical problems and all your current medications including herbal and natural remedies.

  • Your insurance details, Southern Cross membership number or ACC documentation if you have had an injury.

  • Any braces/orthotics/shoewear/walking aids.

  • Please wear appropriate clothes and footwear that adequately allow your knees and feet to be examined.

You are welcome to bring a friend, partner or family member into your consultation for support.

What to expect.

Dr Charlotte Allen will discuss your orthopaedic condition and examine areas as necessary. She will discuss with you any previous imaging or investigations. She may order further imaging/investigations (specific xrays, CT, MRI). She will discuss treatment options including non-surgical and surgical options. You will be able to ask questions to make sure you fully understand both the condition and treatment plan.
